But you need to focus.

Items to pack for your journey in the business world:
1.  The ability to change
2.  Focus on what you want
3.  Be flexible and adaptable
4.  Keep developing technology & people skills
5.  Be comfortable with ambiguity

Life doesn't have any guarantees.

---Dr. Susan Fenner

PERSISTENCE

"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence.  Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.  Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.  Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.  Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent."

-----Calvin Coolidge

Courage doesn't always roar.
Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end
of the day saying,
I will try again tomorrow.

Start by doing what's necessary,
then do what's possible,
and suddenly you are doing the impossible.

All glory comes from daring to begin.

Professionalism is Measured by a
Commitment to Excellence
--Dr. Stacey Williams
2007 A-O Division Meeting

REMINDERS
(To Help with Concentration on the Job)

       1) Get enough sleep!
  2) Spend time with people you love, doing things that are not measured in professional terms.
        3) Walk, run, jog.  Take care of your physical well being.
        4) Stay well groomed and well dressed.
        5) Permit yourself to behave on impulse, often but not always.
        6) Avoid debt.
        7) Surround yourself with smart people.
        8) Read every day.
        9) Make smiling a habit.  Or, in short, as the airlines remind us:
      10) Put your own oxygen mask on first before you go to help others.
